My First Fondant Cupcakes

Last Saturday, I attended a 2hours basic Fondant class. The class was taught by a young homebaker. It was a small class of 4. We had a hands-on on stir and bake Fruity Cupcakes, making our own Marshmallow Fondant and decorating our cupcakes with fondant as well. I find that it is fun and enjoyable to play with dough again. :)

The cupcakes look lovely! I've no idea how to make fondant yet. Hope I've the passion to make it one day. I like the rose fondant you've made. Very pretty!

Hi Kitchen Corner,

Thanks for your compliment. Marshmallow Fondant is very easy to make but it very sweet. I would like to play with it but not eat it.

Hi Ice-ayrez,

You can find the marshmallow fondant recipe on the internet. You have to trim away the uneven top of the cool cupcake first. You can either place the fondant directly on the cool cupcake or spread a thin layer of apricot gel or butter cream then cover it with fondant.
