  9. Hi 幸福故事书,

    Thanks for your complient. :)

Fondant taste like candy. You can buy the ready to roll fondant 'Bakels Pettinice' or check out from internet for fondant recipe. Happy baking.

  11. I'm thinking of making a fondant cake for my boy's 1st birthday after reading your post :) very inspiring indeed!

Can you share with me some tips please as I've never done it before:P
    1. How is the taste of the cake?
    2. How do you get rid of the excess icing sugar on the fondant to make it so nice and shiny?
    3. Do you need to make the "accessories" ahead of time?

Sorry for so many questions .... a nervous mum here :P

    Thanks!

  12. Hi LuthAdel,

    Thanks for your compliment.

The cake is just chocolate butter cake. The fondant taste like marshmallow, children will like that.
Don't use too much icing sugar or corn flour for dusting. Use a clean brush and brush away excess icing sugar left on the fondant.
You can mould the figurines and cut out one or two days ahead, keep in an container for drying before decorating on the fondant cake.
